Institute's
Administration
The Ghana Institute of
Freight Forwarders is a non profit making organization and is
governed by an Executive Council of 19 members. This Executive body is
made up of a President, 1st and 2nd Vice Presidents, an Honorary
Secretary, a Treasurer and fourteen council members which include the
chairman and a representative of each of the five district committees.
The Council is the body appointed by the Members to run the
Institute and is responsible for policy formulation.
A board of Trustees made
up of the 4 past presidents of the Institute and 5 prominent persons in
the country act in an advisory capacity to the Council, acting as a higher
advisory appeal body.

General
Secretariat
GIFF has a National
Secretariat that implements policies of the Council and carries out the
day-to-day administrative functions of the Institute.
It is headed by an Executive Secretary assisted by
3 other managers , District Administration Manager (DAM), Financial
Manager, and The Education and Training Manager, who head each of the
three operating departments of the Institute.
Each of the 5 Districts
has a secretariat that carries out the day-to-day district
administrative activities and is headed by a district administration
officer. The
District Administration Manager, operating from the National
Headquarters is responsible for management of all the districts |
